How does Afriex work?

Afriex allows you to make instant and affordable money transfers between the U.S. and Nigeria. Using the Afriex app, you can send money from a debit or prepaid card to a bank account or other Afriex user.

How do I send money to a Nigerian bank account?

  • Click on the $ sign at the bottom of the app
  • Click the Nigerian flag at the top right of the page to select the currency of your choice
  • Type in the amount you want to send, then press SEND
  • Click 'SEND TO BANK'
  • Click 'ADD RECEIVING BANK' if its a new account or select an already stored account
  • Select 'NIGERIA'
  • Input the recipient's bank information and confirm

How do I send money to another Afriex user?

  • Search for the user in the 'SEARCH BY $USERNAME' box
  • Input a comment where it says 'TYPE IN A COMMENT'
  • Confirm the transaction

How do I deposit money into my Afriex Wallet?

  • Click on the Wallet sign at the bottom of the app
  • Click 'ADD CASH'
  • Press the Nigerian flag in the top right corner to select the currency you will like to deposit
  • After you select the currency of your choice, enter the amount you want to deposit
  • Press 'ADD CASH'
  • If your card is already stored in the app, press CONFIRM. If you would like to add a new card press 'ADD CHARGE CARD/BANK' and input your information

Where can I send money from/to?

You can send money to and from Nigeria and the USA. You can also send money within the USA and Nigeria.

What are your fees and rates?

Afriex charges no fees saving you money each time you complete a transaction! Our rates are on the main page of our app.

How much money can I send?

How do I use a new card

To add a new card visit the profile page and click 'ADD CHARGING PAYMENT METHOD' to add a new card.

Can I sign in with an email that is not Gmail

To make the login process quicker as of May 2020, users can only sign in with a Gmail account. If you do not have a Gmail account, please create one HERE

How do I reset my password?

If you signed in with Google, tap the 'Sign in with gmail' button when signing in and select the google account that you created your account with.

If you signed up with another email address, click 'Already have an account? Log in', then click on 'FORGOT PASSWORD' to recover your password.

How to reset my PIN?

If you enter the wrong pin three times, the app will display the message 'You have exceeded your allowed number of attempts," and it will log you out. To reset your PIN log in again to create a new pin.

How do I cancel a transaction?

If the funds have not been transferred to the recipient's account, you can call or email us to begin processing your refund. Once the transfer is delivered, no refund or cancelation is possible.
